happiness is ...................?&*@#$

Happiness is a state of mind or feeling characterized by contentment, love, satisfaction, pleasure, or joy.[1] A variety of biological, psychological, religious, and philosophical approaches have striven to define happiness and identify its sources. Is how wikipedia defines happiness...but it is really difficult to measure happiness or even say that we are/were happy...for it is so impermanent...

All of us has experienced happiness, grief, anger and all other feelings and expressions that a man can possibly experience...but is there a way to over come these feelings?
1)Being spiritual
By being spiritual,,,what ever religion you follow. For it is one tool that we hold onto whenever we are in trouble or are in joy...so be spiritual..it need not be praying half a day pleasing your god...

Control your emotions.
Trying to control your emotions whether in times of sadness or happiness will certainly help you...It is very important to have control over your mind...but in reality it is very difficult unless you are ..what ever...it is really difficult to control your mind ...for a common guy like me(and many others(many many others) it is difficult to locate where our mind really is - is in in our heart, head, feet,or is it in some other body parts..

i'll continue it next time...if you can tell me what happiness is plz let me know...

Albert Camus said
"You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life." This truly applies to me...i cannot describe what happiness or being happy is really about....

some gud things about laughter

Laughter is good for your health

  • Laughter relaxes the whole body. A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after.
  • Laughter boosts the immune system. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.
  • Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.
  • Laughter protects the heart. Laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.

    • Laughter dissolves distressing emotions. You can’t feel anxious, angry, or sad when you’re laughing.
    • Laughter helps you relax and recharge. It reduces stress and increases energy, enabling you to stay focused and accomplish more.
    • Humor shifts perspective, allowing you to see situations in a more realistic, less threatening light. A humorous perspective creates psychological distance, which can help you avoid feeling overwhelmed.
